How my Hypnotherapy for weight-loss works.
In the beginning I have you fill out a daily food diary to allow you to recognise all of your eating habits bad or good, Identify things which trigger your eating and where you need to change to allow you to lose or just maintain you weight. This comes along with a questionnaire which will help you to think about what your goals are and what you want to achieve as well as helping determine effective techniques and appropriate suggestions to use.
In the first Hypnotherapy session we work on Ego strengthening and some foundation suggestions along with anchoring your confidence in achieving weight loss, with some work on any specific food addictions as well as teaching some self-hypnosis which can be practised using the recording of a hypnotherapy for weight loss session which is provided.
From previous sessions held with clients’ effects of this session have seen them sleep better, snack less or not at all and even helped clear up some other ailments like eczema etc.
The second session the session involves hypnotherapy for healthy eating techniques, savouring food and eating slowly as well as controlling portions. Aversive suggestions for overeating and if required possible regression to cause of having to eat everything on a plate. Again, this is followed up with the provision of a recording of the session’s parts.
The third session includes hypnosis to work on managing any cravings that you may have as well as controlling the impulse to eat, while eating only at mealtimes and moving on to exercise and motivation. Again, a recording is received to continue the work through the week.
It is the experience of many that by this time many of the above have been achieved with appetite’s reduced, motivation to exercise and no eating between meals..
Session four is visualising yourself being slimmer and reaching the targets that you desire as well as reinforcing the work done in all the previous sessions.
This is not like a regular diet and trying to achieve a small weight loss each week. Hypnotherapy is about changing your total mindset about food and having a lasting effect on your weight loss through looking at food differently, savouring and enjoying the healthy food you eat going forward and letting go of your need for the unhealthy habits of the past.
Hypnotherapy can be a real tool to help you not only lose weight it keeps you on the path of keeping the weight off as you will have changed your attitude to how and what you eat. It does though require that you are committed too and believe that it can help you.
